oops: it seems I’ve made another roguelike. Astromino is, in two words: “roguelike Tetris”. the space-y visuals and map of places-to-go may remind you of Faster Than Light, while upgrading the individual pieces of your polyominoes may feel a bit Balatro-y.

get money, upgrade your stuff, discover combos (some I planned; some I probably didn’t), and beat enemies by dropping weird shapes.

there’s a few rule-changing characters to unlock, with more on the way, and plenty of other polish to be done before the game can be released! until then, if you’d like to wishlist it, that would make the Steam algorithm feel favorably towards my latest sci-fi roguelike ๐
Poppy Seed Pets: Capture the Flag is a bit different – not a roguelike, not space-y, and probably a bit further from release than Astromino (despite being given a Steam store presence much sooner!)
it’s a turn-based, tile-based capture the flag game – essentially a remake of Carr Software’s Capture the Flag, themed after my browser based pet game Poppy Seed Pets.

it’s a 1v1 game that can be played against a computer, against a friend in your very own home, or against a friend far away, using the incredible power of the internet.
I’ve been debating whether to double-down on the capture the flag game and turn it into something bigger & better, or to expand the thing into a collection of “park games” of which capture the flag is just one.
if that sounds interesting, again: feel free to give it a wishlist. and/or if browser-based pet games sound like your thing, I’ve been working on Poppy Seed Pets since 2019 – I think it’s probably-maybe fun – and relatively-recently open-sourced the whole thing so you can even directly propose your own whacky changes to the thing!

๐ have fun!
